ORDER

For a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.01.2019, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing on both sides and perused materials available on the record.

3.According to the petitioner, due to his family circumstances, requesting the authorities to transfer him from Madurai Central Prison to Theni Central Prison, he has made several representations to the respondents. However, no order has been passed on any of the representations. Hence, he approached this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered sympathetically. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer as sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.01.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
