O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission to conduct Kida Muttu competition during the Arulmigi Sree Manthaiyamman temple festival held on 15.03.2025 at Pottapalayam Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2025. 2.According to the petitioner, the villagers decided to conduct festival to the Arulmigi Sree Manthaiyamman temple on 15.03.2025 and decided to conduct Kida Muttu function and hence, he sent the said representation to the second respondent, seeking permission to conduct Kida Muttu Competition (Sheep fight), but till date the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's representation is under consideration and the same will be considered and disposed of 2/4

within a period of one week.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition and recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation within a period of one week from the date of this order in accordance with law.
