************ [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] We have heard Mr.K.Sudalaiyandi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Baskaran, learned Standing Counsel for Government appearing for the respondents.
2.This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to re-create and form the metal road namely, Mangamma Salai from Vattavilai to Urumangalam as per the third respondent's reply letter in A5/50/2018, dated 08.07.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court.
3.From the information furnished under the Right to Information Act by reply dated 14.10.2016, we find that the funds were received for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.[MD]No.6699 of 2021 developing the Thar road (metal road), but, however it is not found. Subsequently, a representation was given and reply has been received by the petitioner stating that the requisite funds would be allotted and the Thar road would be formed. It is not clear as to why the respondents are dragging on the matter from 2016. Therefore, we direct the respondents 2 to 4 to immediately take action, allot funds and lay the Thar road as committed by them earlier. The District Collector, Tirunelveli, is directed to issue necessary instruction and monitor the progress.
4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
