ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner as a Junior Assistant on compassionate ground.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The case of the petitioner is that her husband was working as a Head Constable in the police department. He passed away on 28.01.2007, while in service. The petitioner, being the wife of the deceased, sent a representation dated 11.02.2019 to the respondents, seeking employment on compassionate ground. As there is no response from the respondents, this writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 5.In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the

representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
