O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is a wanted accused and he produced the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent, wherein in paragraph No.8, it has been stated as follows:

"8. I submit that in the present circumstances, the petitioner filed the present petition seeking not to harass him. It is pertinent to mention that he is arrayed as a second accused in Crime No.656/2016 as stated above and he is wanted accused. He is involved in serious offence. Hence, our police team are making serious efforts https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to arrest the petitioner and two others. Hence, the question of any harassment by this respondent does not arise. As stated above, the petitioner is a wanted accused and our police team are making all efforts to arrest him in connection with the above said crime."

4. In the light of the above said statement, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
