Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass necessary orders for allotment of house under Tamil Nadu Government Servants Rental Housing Scheme in Mofussil Towns under application number 22908 dated 02.05.2017 and pass orders allotting the house situated at 6/2 Kajamalai Colony, Trichy - 620 020.

2. The petitioner has submitted an application dated 02.05.2017, for allotment of a house.

3. The first respondent is directed to pass orders on the said application on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not pronounced anything on the merits of the matter.
