ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai to commit the case to the competent Sessions Court and proceed the case as expeditiously by the competent Court in P.R.C.No.268 of 2020 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case is pending without any progress from the year 2020.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the case is pending committal.

4. Under such circumstances, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai to commit the case in P.R.C.No.268 of 2020 to the Court of Sessions within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the Sessions Court is directed to complete the trial proceedings within a period of six months therefrom and report compliance to this Court after completion of the proceedings. 5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
