O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to conduct the fair investigation and consequently to file the final report in Crime No.296 of 2017 on the file of the second respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner is the De-facto complainant and on the basis of the complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.296 of 2017 as against the proposed accused for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 323, 506(i) and 379 of IPC. It is stated that the complaint though was registered on 04.09.2017, there was no further progress and that a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report will be in the interest of justice.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the final report is drawn on 28.10.2017 and that it will be filed and taken up by the concerned Judicial Magistrate within a reasonable time.

5.Having regard to the facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to file a final report in Crime No.296 of 2017 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and further directed to see that the final report is taken on file as early as possible.

6.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
