*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to submit a reply for the information sought for by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 1/3

2005, pertaining to the panchayat details regarding the credit gain and loss and other contracts entered into by Arumpanur Panchayat-1, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District.

2.The petitioner has sent a representation on 09.04.2021 to the respondents for the said purpose. Since no response has been received till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.G.Kannan, learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, Mr.Raguvaran Gopalan, learned Standing Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent, Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the second respondent and Mr.M.Prakash, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the third respondent.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2021 is considered on merits and in accordance with law. The petitioner has sought for certain details with regard to Arumpanur Panchayat-1, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District in his representation. 5.Accordingly, the third respondent is directed to send a reply to the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2021 within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
