PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- for Anticipatory bail in Crime No.245 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 4(1)(a) r/w 4(1-A) of Tamilnadu Prohibition Act 1937, in Crime No.51 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that due to oblique motive, the petitioner has been falsely roped in this case. He further submitted that the first accused was given a confession statement and on that basis the petitioner was arrayed as accused in this case.

4. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the State submitted that in order to sell the Pandichery manufacturer liquors bottles, A-2 engaged the service of A-1. A-1 was already arrested. He further submitted that A-2 is the prime accused in a case in Crime No.319 of 2013 for the various offences including grievous offence.
5. Taking into consideration of the previous antecedents of the petitioner and also the averments made in the complaint, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed.
