For Petitioner :Mr.K.Suresh For Respondents :Mr.S.Angappan Government Advocate ***** COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from interfering with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject properties and to communicate to the statutory authorities that the subject properties have already been relieved from the land acquisition proceedings. 2.Heard Mr.K.Suresh, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and Mr.S.Angappan, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents in all these Writ Petitions submitted that the District Collector, Karur, has already communicated to the District Registrar, through communication dated 27.05.2022 to the effect that the land acquisition proceedings have already been dropped with respect to the subject properties. The relevant communication was also placed before this Court. That apart, the learned Government Advocate also placed before this Court the communication made by the Special Commissioner to the Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, dated 02.05.2006 recommending for dropping of the land acquisition proceedings and this has been acted upon through communication dated 15.06.2006.
4.In the light of the above developments, the apprehension raised by the petitioners has been sufficiently answered and it is clear that the subject properties are no more the subject matter of the land acquisition proceedings. Therefore, the petitioners can deal with the property absolutely without any restraint.
