ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 05.08.2015 and 25.05.2016, seeking appointment on compassionate ground.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The case of the petitioner is that her husband was working as a Grade - II Constable and he passed away on 28.07.2015, while in service. Seeking appointment on compassionate ground, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner, being the wife of the deceased, made representations dated 05.08.2015 and 25.05.2016 to the respondents. She has also submitted all the relevant documents as sought for by the respondents. However, no orders have been passed on the representations. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking the above stated relief.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits. 5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2016, seeking appointment on compassionate ground and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
