O R D E R
The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2018 and consequently direct the
respondents to provide compassionate appointment for her in any post, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.V.Muthuvelan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.M.S.Johny Basha, learned standing counsel for TANGEDCO.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the prayer sought for in this writ petition is very innocuous in nature as the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2018 is to be directed to be considered by the respondents and an order to that effect is directed to be passed, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner would be satisfied. 4.The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, after taking notice, would submit that the said request of the petitioner, through the representation dated 14.03.2018, seeking for compassionate appointment from the respondent department would be considered on merits and in accordance with law and an order to that effect would be passed within a time frame. 5.Considering the said limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition, with the consent of both sides, is disposed of at the admission stage with the following order:
"The petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2018 seeking compassionate appointment shall be considered by the second respondent on getting the same from the third respondent, to whom the said representation was submitted by the petitioner, and an order to that effect be passed on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6.With this direction and observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
