PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the body of the petitioner's wife, namely, Lathamani aged about 24 years, (who is missing on 23.02.2023) either in person or by body before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner, seeking production of his wife, namely, Lathamani, aged about 24 years, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has submitted that the detenue has been found and she has been produced before this 2/4

Court. When we enquired with the detenue, she submitted that since her mother has become sick and she is taking medical treatment in her uncle's house at Chennai, both went there and she had been in Chennai only to take care of her mother's health. She further submitted that she is ready and willing to talk to the petitioner, who is the husband of the detenue explaining this position and for some days the detenue wants to be with her mother, considering the ill-health of her mother. 3.In view of the said statement given by the detenue, we find that the detenue is not in illegal custody. Hence, recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
