: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 17.04.2018 to grant permission to conduct the "Kovil Thiruvizha" as well as other programmes and also to conduct the "Aadal Padal" at about 06.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on 29.05.2018 in temple namely "Arulmigu Shree Mariamman Kovil" at Pampulupatti, Pudhuchettiyapatti Post, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking direction to the respondents to grant permission and necessary police protection to perform the cultural programme (ie.,) Adal Padal Dance Programme at about 06.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on 29.05.2018 in the temple namely "Arulmigu Shree Mariamman Kovil" at Pampulupatti, Pudhuchettiyapatti Post, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner has made a representation dated 17.04.2018 to the second respondent seeking permission to conduct the programmes as mentioned above. Since no order has been passed on the representation, this writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that petitioner's representation is pending with the second respondent and before passing orders on the same, the petitioner has rushed to the Court, immediately after making the representation.

5.In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent consider the said representation dated 17.04.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by taking into consideration of the conditions imposed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.7911 of 2018, dated 12.04.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
