This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to accord permission for the conduct of Kabaddi Tournament on the eve of Parvathi Amman temple festival in 7Lion's Kabaddi Ground, Vallanadu, Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District from 03.05.2018 to 05.05.2018 by taking into consideration of our representation dated 18.04.2018 by imposing any condition.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 18.04.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting "Kabadi Tournament" scheduled to be held on 03.05.2018 to 05.05.2018 on the eve of Parvathi Amman temple festival in 7Lion's Kabaddi Ground, Vallanadu, Srivaikundam https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Taluk, Thoothukudi District. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the second respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law. 5.Considering the submission made by both parties, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 02.05.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
