Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents No.1 to 4 to permit the petitioner and 120 families to Worship at Shri Periya Karupanaswamy Temple and celebrate the Panguni Temple festival on 24th March 2024 or on any other date at Arasakulam Villae Kurandi Post, Kaaraiyapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District within a time stipulated by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.The only request made by the petitioner is that he and other pangalies should be permitted to offer worship in the petition mentioned temple and participate in the celebrations. The petitioner makes it clear that they are not seeking any first honour or even any right of administration. The learned 2/4

counsel for the private respondents also submitted that they have no objection for acknowledging the petitioner's right to worship. 3.Recording this submission made on either side, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
