O R D E R
Mr.Siddharthan, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition for seeking annual increment from the date of approval has been considered by the respondents and to that effect, they passed orders vide proceedings dated 18.03.2025.

The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the petitioner erroneously filed this writ petition seeking approval of the appointment of the one P.Mariselvam, in the post of BT Assistant (Science) in the petitioner school from the date of his appointment i.e., on 03.09.2018 and for subsequent direction to release grant-in-aid and other benefits. The learned Additional Government Pleader further submits that by an order dated 26.07.2019, approval of the appointment of the said teacher is granted by the first respondent and the grant-in-aid was also disbursed. In view of the said facts and circumstances, the present writ petition does not survive. 2/6
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader further submits that the said P.Mariselvam, B.T. Assistant (Science) is entitled for only one increment from his initial appointment. The first respondent issued proceedings on 18.03.2025, granting annual increment to the P.Mariselvam, B.T. Assistant (Science) and the said amount will be disbursed to the petitioner in due course. He also placed the copy of the proceedings dated 18.03.2025, of the first respondent before this Court and it is placed on record.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to release the amount for one annual increment as sanctioned vide proceedings dated 18.03.2025.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:
i) the respondents are directed to release the amount for one annual increment as sanctioned vide proceedings dated 18.03.2025, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
There shall be no order as to costs.
