The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission for conducting Adal Padal function scheduled on 01.05.2018 and 02.05.2018 in pursuance to Sri Anantha Vinayagar Temple Festival between 08.00pm., to 12.00pm and consequently to provide adequate protection on the basis of the representations dated 07.04.2018 and 09.04.2018.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner being the head of the village made a representation to the second respondent seeking the aforesaid relief.
3.The said representation cannot be directed to be considered in view of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.7911 of 2018, dated 12.04.2018, since in the said order, it has been stated that the application shall be submitted only by the trustees of the Temple or the committee of the Vizha Kzhuvinar or the organizers of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the festival committee before the concerned respondent police. Therefore, the present writ petition is dismissed. However, if the concerned office bearers make any application before the second respondent, the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
