Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1, 5 and 6 to take action on the complaint of the petitioner dated 28.02.2022 and further direct the respondents 1, 5 and 6 to take immediate action to prevent breach of public peace in the Chinapallapatti Village of Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District which is imminent to take place in the guise of village temple festival about to take place between 29.03.2022 to 07.04.2022. 1/3

O R D E R

*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1, 5 and 6 to take action to prevent breach of public peace in the Chinapallapatti Village of Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District which is imminent to take place in the guise of village temple festival which is about to take place between 29.03.2022 to 07.04.2022.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that predominantly there are three communities in the Village who are interested in the temple festival to be conducted in Saalai Santhanakaruppana Swamy Temple at Chinnapallapatti Village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District. It is the contention of the petitioner that there will be breach of peace if the temple festival is conducted without the assistance of the official respondents. It is their case that only the official respondents can maintain peace when the temple festival is conducted. The petitioner has given a representation on 28.02.2022 for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.Sethu Surendar, for M/s.APN Law Associates learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 6.

4.On instructions, learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents would submit that subsequent to the representation given by the petitioner on 28.02.2022 which is the subject matter of this writ petition, the petitioner has written a letter to the Superintendent of Police, the second respondent herein, intimating him that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. The said letter is placed on record before this Court.

5.Since the petitioner has amicably settled the matter, there is no necessity for this Court to pass any further orders. 6.After recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents and after recording the letter of the petitioner which has been placed before this Court 2/3

by the learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
