Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the first respondent herein to transfer the investigation in Crime No.532 of 2014 dated 21.07.2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thoothukudi South Police Station, Thoothukudi, Thoothukudi District to any other Superior Officer within the District.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to transfer the investigation in Crime No.532 of 2014 on the file of the second respondent Police to another superior officer within the District. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the case has been registered under Section 380 IPC as early as on 21.07.2014, till date the investigation has not been completed, the accused persons have not been identified and the property have not been recovered. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the second respondent Police is taking earnest efforts in this case and that the fair investigation is going on.

5.Under such circumstances, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi is directed to monitor the investigation in Crime No.532 of 2014 and ensure the filing of the final report by the second respondent forthwith.
