PRAYER :-This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct re-enquiry in C.S.R.No.190 of 2025 dated 11.08.2025 on the file of the third respondent into the suspicious death of petitioner's father Selvakannu, based on the complaint dated 11.08.2025 to the third respondent and representation dated 13.10.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct re-enquiry in C.S.R.No.190 of 2025 dated 11.08.2025 on the file of the third respondent into the suspicious death of petitioner's father Selvakannu, based on the complaint dated 11.08.2025 to the third respondent and representation dated 13.10.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the death was not a suicide but a suspicious one and that there are certain records, audio clips, and photographs raising such suspicion. Hence, the petitioner seeks to conduct re-enquiry into the matter. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents Police submitted that the petitioner's father had committed suicide and the body was cremated and not buried, and therefore, at this stage, no re-investigation can be effectively conducted. 4.Considering the submissions made on either side, the petitioner is directed to submit all the available materials, including records, audio clips, and photographs, before the third respondent. Upon receipt of the same, the third respondent shall conduct an inquiry. If any suspicion regarding the death is found, the prosecution is directed to file a further report before the concerned Court and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
