O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.A6/835/2018, dated 15.09.2018. 2.By consent of parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined duty as Village Assistant in Sirumayangudi (West) Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District and he has been working as Village Assistant for the past 12 years. He had completed 10th standard. Therefore, he is entitled to the post of Village Administrative Officer for the vacancy arose in the year 2018-2019. In this circumstance, the District Collector, Trichirapalli vide its memorandum in Na.Ka.No.C2/13550/2019, dated 20.06.

2019 directed the respondent to submit the proposal to prepare panel list for filing up the post of Village Administrative Officer from Village Assistant for the year 2018-2019 in Tiruchirappalli District as per G.O.(MS). No.570 (Revenue (Service 8(1) Department dated 26.12.2014). 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that 17 (b) charges issued against the petitioner. After conducting enquiry, the enquiry officer has submitted his report to the respondent stating that all the charges levelled against the petitioner were not proved. Even though the petitioner has given representation, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

W.P.(MD) No.5895 of 2020 dated 20.12.2019 requesting the authority to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against him, the respondent did not consider at all, but simply rejected the petitioner's claim of inclusion of his name in the panel list. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court for early disposal of the disciplinary proceedings pending against him.

5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 6.Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in the writ petition and without adverting to the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.A6/835/2018, dated 15.09.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
