ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue separate patta in respect of Survey Nos. 232/3E, 234/5A, 197/2, 229/1A, and 232/3B, situated at Pathiripatti Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District, by considering the petitioner's application dated 18.02.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

According to the petitioner, there was an oral partition between him and the second respondent about ten years ago, and both parties have been exclusively enjoying their respective shares since then. On the basis of this oral partition, the petitioner submitted an application for issuance of separate patta on 18.02.2025. However, no action has been taken on the application so far.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner, the second respondent and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision.
