This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent to register a case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 01.11.2017.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, a case has already been registered in Crime No.20 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 498-A, 312 and 506(i) of IPC., r/w. Section 4 of the Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, on the file of the second respondent police. 3. Recording the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
