ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents to alter the FIR in Crime No.73 of 2016 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent Police.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner sustained grievous injury, the 2nd respondent police had registered the case in crime No.73 of 2016 only under Sections 294(b) and 323 IPC. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the petition for the aforesaid prayer. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that after investigation, alteration report has been filed by the 2nd respondent police in Crime No.73 of 2016 altering the offences as 294(b), 323, 325 and 506(i) IPC. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.The prayer seeking alteration of First Information Report cannot be entertained by this Court, because the FIR has got its own sanctity and no alteration can be done in the First Information Report. However, in view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate that alteration report has been filed, no further relief need be granted.
