O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to transfer the patta in her favour in respect of the property situate in R.S.No.54/2014 with an extent of 0.02.0 Ares (1903 Sq.Ft), which comprised in Patta No.134, in Velichanatham Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2022.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.P.Santhanakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the subject property originally belonged to one Alagammal and the same was purchased by the petitioner's father Chinnaiah under a sale deed dated 24.03.2008. 2/6
Subsequently, the petitioner's father executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner on 04.11.2019. When the petitioner wanted to mutate the revenue records in her name, it came to her knowledge that the revenue records stand in the name of a third party. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the third respondent on 07.11.2022, seeking mutation of revenue records in her name. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who appear for the respondents, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to forward the application submitted by the petitioner dated 07.11.2022 to the second respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the second respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits, within a further period of twelve (12) weeks, after issuing notice to the 3/6
petitioner and the person in whose name, the revenue record stands as on today.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
