ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to transfer the petitioner to any of the 8 Post Graduate Assistant (Maths) posts, vacant in Kanyakumari District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2019 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, a vacancy is available as he sought in the writ petition. To that effect, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner brought to the notice of this Court, a communication dated 20.03.2019, wherein it is mentioned that a Post Graduate (Maths) Teacher post is vacant at Koduppaikuzhi, Kanyakumari District. Hence, the learned counsel prayed this Court for consideration of the petitioner's representation, seeking transfer.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and appropriate orders be passed by the respondents.

5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
