ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the first respondent to monitor the investigation in Crime No.2181 of 2017 pending before the second respondent based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2021.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the defacto complainant in Crime No.2181 of 2017 which was filed for the offences punishable under Section 379 IPC on 29.10.2017. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, in the occurrence he has lost 11 sovereigns of gold chain. In this regard, he has sent repeated representations but, so far the same have not been recovered. According to him, investigation has not been properly undertaken. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that one Amutha was arrested on 12.06.2019 in another case and based upon the confession statement made by her, involvement of her in this crime came to light, but, no recovery has been made. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4. Considering the above aspect, this Court is of the view that the petitioner has a genuine grievance. Considering the fact that the matter is of the year 2017 and also the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the first respondent is hereby directed to monitor the investigation undertaken by the second respondent. This petition is ordered accordingly.
