ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Special Court for Trial of Cases Under SC/ST (POA) Act, Theni, to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consider their bail application on the same day on merits in relating to Crime No.131 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent police.
2. Considering the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. The case of the prosecution is that on 16.02.2026, at about 08.30 p.m, when the sister's husband of the defacto complainant was walking on the road speaking to someone else on his phone, the petitioners are said to have abused him by calling his caste name. When the same was questioned by him, they attacked him with hands and caused simple injury and threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, an FIR has been registered against them.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court hereby direct the Special Court for Trial of Cases Under SC/ST (POA) Act, Theni, to issue prior notice to the de facto complainant and thereafter, to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No. 131 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police. 3/5
