PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records of the First Information Report in Crime No.232 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.

ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.232 of 2019 of Thottiyam Police Station, Trichy District.

2.Mr.N.Madhava Govindan, learned counsel for the second respondent filed a counter affidavit contending that the second respondent does not have any objection to quash the First Information Report.

3.Since the offences punishable under Sections 323 and 506(ii) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 are compoundable, the petitioner and the second respondent are directed to approach the concerned Judicial Magistrate and file an appropriate application to compound the offence.
