O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to issue a no objection certificate to the petitioner to run a SPA in the name and style of WELLNESS SPA at Hotel D Grand, Door No.75-D, Reliance Smart Bazaar Building, Kalavasal, Madurai - 625010, by passing orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2025. 2.According to the petitioner, he is running a SPA centre at Hotel D Grand, Door No.75-D, Reliance Smart Bazaar Building, Kalavasal, Madurai in the name of WELLNESS SPA, for the past one month. Previously, there is no law regulating all these business or any license is required and no any specific legal provision under the City Police Act in 2/5

respect of the SPA centres. Now the Government issued Gazette notification, dated 16.07.2018 for running a SPA Centre that a licence should be obtained from the authority. Therefore, the petitioner applied licence from the respondents 1 and 2 for no objection certificate and the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's representation has already been received and the petitioner has not provided particular documents. If the petitioner produces all the relevant documents, then the same will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law. 4.Since the petitioner's representation is under consideration by the respondents and they also require some documents from the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the respondent police within one week with all relevant documents and thereafter, the first respondent is directed to consider the same and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. 3/5
