ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition is filed for issuing a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thoothukudi, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.273 of 2010 within a time stipulated by this court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. Stating that the trial of the case is unnecessarily delayed due to non-production of the witnesses, the petitioner who is the sole accused in the criminal case has filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thoothukudi, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.273 of 2010 and to dispose of the same within a time stipulated by this Court.

4. Considering the grievance of the petitioner and the nature of this case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thoothukudi, is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.273 of 2010 and to dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
