O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to cancel the double assessment bearing Assessment No.303639 (New Assessment No.115/083/01783) in respect of the property of the petitioner situated in No.75A, North Krishnan Kovil Street, North Masi Street, Madurai - 1 (old ward No.83 and new Ward No.51) forthwith by considering the representation given by the petitioner dated 10.02.2026.

2.By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has already made an application to the respondents on 10.02.2026, with regard to cancellation of the double assessment made for the same property. Since the said representation is pending consideration, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4.Learned Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be 2/4

considered by the respondent in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2026 and pass orders within a period of four [4] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
