O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to take necessary action on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.10.2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner borrowed a sum of Rs.80,000/- from one Kaviya and thereafter, she paid money to the said Kaviya on various occasions. The said Kaviya charged exorbitant interest from the petitioner and the petitioner paid more than the principal amount as interest. While so, on 07.09.2024 at about 2.30 p.m., the said Kaviya and her husband Vignesh have trespassed into the house of the petitioner and demanded exorbitant interest and threatened with dire consequences. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 08.09.2024 to the second respondent and they called the said Kaviya for enquiry, but she did not appear. Thereafter, again the said Kaviya and others have threatened the petitioner on 17.10.2024 and she sent a representation dated 18.10.2024, but no action was taken. Hence, she has filed this petition. 3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, they conducted an enquiry. The opposite party is a pregnant lady and she appeared once, thereafter she was unable to appear due to her health condition and now she has delivered a baby. They will complete the enquiry within one week.

4. Since the prayer of the petitioner is to consider the representation dated 18.10.2024 and to take action and the 3rd respondent police also admitted the pending enquiry on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.10.2024, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of one week from the date of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
