ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to take necessary action in the case registered in Crime No.46 of 2016 and to file a final report before the concerned Court within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner states that he lodged a complaint against few individuals which was registered in Crime No.46 of 2016 for the alleged offences under Sections 406, 420, 506(i) of I.P.C. It is stated that there was no further progress in the investigation and that therefore a direction by this Court to file a final report within a stipulated time will be in the interest of justice.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and the nature of the complaint given by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.46 of 2016 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
