ORDER

This writ petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Sweeper on compassionate ground in the third respondent's office within a time to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel for the third respondent.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that his father Murugan was working as a Sweeper in the third respondent's Corporation for nearly 30 years and he died on 07.11.2017 while in service. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 28.03.2018 seeking compassionate appointment. Such representation is pending, without any consideration. Hence, this writ petition. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the respective respondents submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and as per law.

5.In the light of the above submissions, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.03.2018, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
