This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to issue certificate of no cases pending against the petitioner Page No. 1 of 4

as on date, based on his representation, dated 19.02.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he joined as Anti Poaching Guard in Forest Department on 01.04.2012 and he was working for more than 10 years without any blemishes. While so, after completion of 10 years service, the non-schedule Trips Anti Poaching Guards are promoted as Forest Ranger through a selection list by the District Forest Officer vide proceedings dated 14.03.2024. The petitioner was also selected in that list. However, they did not serve the promotion order to the petitioner, because of some pending cases. Already, five case registered as against the petitioner and the same were already disposed of and now, no case is pending against the petitioner as on date. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 19.02.2025, requesting to issue certificate of no cases pending against the petitioner as on date, but they have not issued. Hence, he has filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that already five cases registered as against the petitioner and all the cases were already disposed of. To that effect, they also issued certificate and also produced the copy Page No. 2 of 4

of the certificate.

4. This Court perused the certificate issued by the respondent. On a perusal of the certificate discloses that the petitioner involved in five cases and the same were disposed of, but no mentioning about the pendency of the cases as on date. Therefore, the certificate does not discloses the words of "no cases pending against the petitioner as on date". The purpose of issuing certificate is for the employment purpose and therefore, the 2nd respondent is directed to issue a certificate to the effect that no cases are pending against the petitioner as on date, within one week from the date of this order,

5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
