ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 25.01.2019 filed against the order dated 31.12.2014 passed by the Director of School Education, Chennai.
2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that his appeal dated 25.01.2019, preferred against the order dated 31.12.2014 passed by the Director of School Education, Chennai, is pending without any progress before the respondent. Hence, seeking necessary directions to the respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be disposed of within the time fixed by this Court.

5.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the appeal dated 25.01.2019 filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
