ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.) Alleging wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.4362 of 2021, dated 29.03.2021, this Contempt Petition is filed.

2.In paragraph 5 of the order in W.P.(MD)No.4362 of 2021, dated 29.03.2021, this Court has earlier directed the first respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.07.2019 on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the Government has passed an order after considering the representation of the petitioner, vide G.O.(D)No.443, dated 12.04.2022, Home (Prison-IV) Department, indicating that the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.07.2019 is considered purely on merits, as directed by this Court.

4.Though the learned Counsel for the petitioner has got grievance that the time schedule prescribed by this Court is not complied with by the respondent, this Court is unable to find any disobedience of the direction of this Court regarding time. 5.In view of the facts narrated above, this Court finds that the respondent has complied with the direction of this Court in its letter and spirit. Recording compliance, this Contempt Petition is closed.
