O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 07.05.2018 at night 08.00 to 12.00 hours in connection with Chithirai Festival in Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Sri Mariamman Sri Muthalamman Temple at Inkalpatti, Alamarathupatti Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, being a member of Vizha committee, made a representation dated 28.03.2018 to the respondents and the same is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending without passing any orders. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that even though the petitioner has stated in his representation that he is a member of Vizha Committee, it is not correct and the petitioner is an individual. Hence, this writ petition cannot be maintainable. 5.In view of the above submission that the petitioner is an individual, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the concerned persons to approach authority considered for appropriate relief, if they are so advised. No costs.
