Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for R1 and the learned counsel for the second respondent.
2.The petitioners are figuring as accused in Crime Number 18 of 2020, registered on the file of the Puthanatham Police Station. To quash the same, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.
3. The petitioners stated that they have already settled the matter with the defacto complainant.
4.The learned Government Advocate states that the investigation has been completed and the same has been taken on file as CC No.59 of 2020 on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Manaparai. I wanted to get confirmation from the learned Government Advocate if the compromise is true. The matter was passed over to take instructions by the learned Government Advocate. The learned Government Advocate submits that the matter has actually been settled.

5. Therefore, I am of the view that the impugned prosecution deserves to be quashed. Eventhough, this Original Petition has been filed for quashing the First Information Report, in view of the subsequent developments, I mould the relief and quash CC No 59 of 2020 on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
