ORDER

The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner's trust to conduct Masi Kalari Festival scheduled to be held from 07.03.2025 to 09.03.2025 in Arulmigu Sri Parvathiamman Sri Madasamy Temple at Vadhuvarpatti, Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 23.02.2025 and restrain the third respondent from conducting the said festival in the same schedule. 2/6

According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the Treasurer of the Arul Niraintha Sri Parvathi Amma - Sri Sudalai Madasamy Thirukovil Nala Arakkattala and the village people along with this trustee decided to conduct Masi Kalari festival scheduled to be held from 07.03.2025 to 09.03.2025 and thereby, the petitioner sent a representation to the third respondent for seeking permission but the same has not been considered. Hence, this petition is filed.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents would submit that there are two rival groups, claiming rights over the Temple and one party opposing to conduct the festival. Thereby, the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.02.2025 is under consideration for enquiry and they will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

4. In view of the limited scope of prayer sought for in this petition and also recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 3/6

23.02.2025 after giving opportunity to both the parties in accordance with law, within a period of 2 days from the date of this order.

5. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 04.03.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes BTR Note: Issue order copy on 05.03.2025.
