Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to consider forthwith the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.02.2021, seeking to give appointment to the petitioner as Protection Officer in the third respondent District Child Protection Society. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was serving as Protection Officer in the office of the second respondent. For the purpose of protecting the rights of the children, the Central Government sponsored a Scheme known as "The 1/3

Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS)". Under the said scheme, the petitioner was appointed as Protection Officer on one year contractual basis. The tenure of appointment of the petitioner expired on 20.08.2013. Though the said post expired and the petitioner was relieved formally in the year 2014, the petitioner sent a representation dated 02.02.2021, for extension of his service. Since, the representation of the petitioner is still pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2021. 4.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.02.2021, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
