ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to transfer the petitioner from the office of Deputy Director of Medical and Rural Health Service and Family Welfare Department, Tuticorin to the Government Medical College, Tirunelveli or any other nearest vacant place on the basis of her representation, dated 27.12.2018.

3.The case of the petitioner is that she is working as an Office Superintendent in the Deputy Director of Medical and Rural Health Service and Family Welfare Department, Tuticorin. Due to family circumstances, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking transfer to the Government Medical College, Tirunelveli or any other nearest vacant place. Since the same has not been considered, this writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits within the time frame as fixed by this Court. 5.In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.12.

2018 seeking transfer and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
