ORDER

The petitioners / Accused Nos.1 to 2 have filed this petition to quash the FIR in Crime No.101 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Pattukottai Police Station, Thanjavur District, wherein they were said to have committed offence under Sections 294(b), 324, 324 and 506(ii) IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 19.02.2021, the defacto complainant went along with her brother's daughter on her two-wheeler. At that time, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant using filthy language, attacked the defacto complainant with an iron rod by the second petitioner and threatened with dire consequences. Hence, the defacto complainant preferred a complaint before the respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.101 of 2021 for the above said offence and to quash the same, the petitioners filed this petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that the investigation in Crime No. 101 of 2021 has been completed and

charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioners work out their remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
