ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in the case in Crime No.1288 of 2021 and file a final report before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.1288 of 2021, on the file of the second respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 420, 506(ii) of IPC and Section 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(2)(Va) of SC/ST (POA) Act. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of two years, so far no investigation has been completed. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.1288 2/5

of 2021 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks short time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.1288 of 2021 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a stipulated time as per the provision of Special Act.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
