ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents particularly the second respondent to consider the application dated 13.07.2018 and again on 05.08.2022 given by the petitioner herein.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that with respect to property in survey No.1973/10, old Survey No.694B /1, measuring 1561 3/4 Sq.ft at Vedasandur Village, Dindigul District, the classification had been wrongly given in the UDR patta during Natham land revenue scheme. The petitioner had also filed a declaration suit.

3. Written instructions have been received by the learned Special Government Pleader wherein it had been stated that now the matter is pending before the third respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer, Palani. However, the learned counsel states that the competent authority is the second respondent / District Revenue Officer, Dindigul.

4. A direction is issued to the second respondent / District Revenue Officer, Dindigul to examine the entire file and issue notice to the petitioner herein and give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and thereafter seek any clarification if required and do the necessary needful. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of.
