Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent ie., the Director of Social Welfare, Chennai to take immediate action for disbursement of the Encashment of Leave Salary and Special Provident Fund to the petitioner within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

*********** By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner served as Extension Officer (Social Welfare). After rendering 36 years of service, the petitioner retired on 31.05.2018. However, his encashment of leave salary and Special Provident Fund has not been disbursed. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 22.05.2019. Since, the representation of the petitioner is still pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.05.2019. 4.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.05.2019, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.[MD]No.6827 of 2021 within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
