Respondents PRAYER :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the Adal Padal programme on 08.04.2022 at 08.00 pm to 11.00 pm in Connection with Thiru Vizha of Arulmigu Sri Muthalamman Thirukovil, G.Kallupatti, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the Adal Padal programme on 08.04.2022 at 08.00 pm to 11.00 pm in connection with Thiru Vizha of Arulmigu Sri Muthalamman Thirukovil, G.Kallupatti, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there is a rival party for the very same temple. In this regard, already this matter has been referred before the Tahsildhar, Periyakulam and the Tahsildhar had conducted Peace Committee meeting on 23.03.2022, in which, it was resolved that there was no objection to the parties to conduct and celebrate the festival at Arulmigu Sri Muthalamman https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

WP(MD). No.5433 of 2022 Thirukovil, G.Kallupatti, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District to be conducted on 08.04.2022. However, the administrators of the temple refused to receive tax from other community people and as such there will be law and order problem, if the petitioner is permitted to celebrate the festival and thereby, rejected the request made by the petitioner.

3.In view of the above, this Court finds no merits in this petition and this writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
